AJ Ginnis

Born and raised in Vouliagmeni, Greece, AJ 's father was a ski instructor in Aráchova where he met AJ’s mother. AJ attended a Greek school and grew up skiing on the weekends at Mount Parnassos and at the age of 12 he started spending the winters in Austria where he was introduced to ski racing. Moving to the US and attending GMVS at 16 and was named to the USST at 17. After 6 knee surgeries and being cut by USST in 2018, AJ started skiing for Greece to begin his comeback tour. In 2021 he finished 11th at the World Cup Slalom in Flachau, AUT, handing Greece their first ever World Cup points in any discipline, and following that up with Greece's first ever World Cup podium and World Championships medal in 2022-23 season (Chamonix WC SL, and Courchevel WSC SL respectively). In 2021 AJ tore his ACL once again ending his season early and went on to work for NBC at the 2022 Beijing Olympics where he won an Emmy with the NBS crew for outstanding live special as an associate producer. In 2022 AJ graduated with high honors from Dartmouth with a degree in Economics.
