Spylon™

Spylon™ is a durable water repellent (DWR) finish applied to the fabric exterior to prevent the garment from absorbing surface moisture. Ultra durable, Spylon™ has a durable water repellency of 80% after 20 washings. It also guards against water and oil-based stains.

Thinsulate Insulation is constructed of fine fibers that efficiently trap insulating air, reflect radiant body heat and deliver exceptional warmth.

X-STATIC silver coated fiber provides the added feature of antimicrobial odor control technology to inhibit the development of odors in garments. Thinsulate Insulation with X-STATIC retains its outstanding insulating properties and breathability under damp conditions but now also delivers the benefit of added protection against odors.

Using a new pattern, Spyder reduced seams by 50%. Seams inhibit stretch, creating a pull across knuckles. By welding fingers instead of using a traditional fourchette pattern, there's better fabric stretch and improved grasp ability. No seams mean less material volume, which equals better dexterity and noticeable weight reduction. Finally, reduced needle puncture holes translates to improved waterproofness.
